Sophomores honored at last home volleyball game for the 2024 season

While honoring nine sophomores in their final home game as Centurions on Oct. 26, the volleyball team took on NJCAA DIII and 沧州中学女教师出轨AA Northern Conference member, Delta College.听

The Centurions, 8-18 overall and 3-9 in conference play, battled with Delta College, 14-13 overall and 6-6 in conference play, but eventually fell with scores of 24-26, 22-25, and 10-25.听

All fourteen Centurions saw playing time against the Ducks. Leading the offense was Piper Groesser who recorded 7 kills. Setting up the offense was Tiana Whitacre who recorded 21 assists. Leading the defense was also Tiana Whitacre, whose 10 digs were good for her 8th double-double (digs/assists) for the season. Jaden Gomez also recorded a team high with 3 service aces.听

The sophomore class consists of Lily Bohen (Central Montcalm), Mckenna Nash (Saranac), Missy Goslin (Cedar Springs), Tiana Whitacre (Central Montcalm), Kelsey Antcliff (Greenville), Piper Groesser (Portland), Alyssa Unger (Lakeview), Maia Sexton (Central Montcalm), and Aleyna Moleski (Cedar Springs).听

The Centurions will travel to St. Clair County Community College (SC4) for a play in game for the NJCAA DII Region XII District A Tournament where they will take on Southwestern Michigan College on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. The winner of the play in match will then advance to the tournament that takes place Nov. 7-9 at SC4.
